5 Things I’m Loving This Week… 005

Welcome back to That’s What Pea Said… Have you checked out my lastest post: 5 things I’m Loving This Week… 004? It has been a busy couple of weeks, but it is almost spring and that always lifts my mood…

Last year I made the decision to create ‘happy spaces’ within my home, afterall I was going to be spending much more time here due to the pandemic… I have always enjoyed being creative with my decor & homewares, however I haven’t necessarily given it much thought. In addition to re-dressing my alter throughout the year in line with the seasons and to follow the wheel of the year, I have been consciously re-dressing various spaces and as you can see in this photo I have focused on creating an area which is both joyful encompasses spring vibes. With the daffodils in bloom, this is my reminder that things are looking brighter and I love any opportunity to look at the things which bring me joy. This is definitely a behaviour which I recommend if you’re looking to add a little more joy to your home, or any space where you’ll be spending time.

In addition to creating and delivering a rather lovely custom order this week, I have spent my time working on new designs and blends for my business. I believe that everything we do should be done with love and creating candles for my business is absolutely no exception to this. I have enjoyed researching which colours are beneficial to each day of the week and how colour therapy can work with out intuition, intent and benefit our overall health and wellbeing. In addition to understand the benefits of colour within magic, I have been researching the aromatherapy benefits of individual essential oils, the benefits of flower power and the benefits of what crystals can be incorporated into my designs. I have had a really productive week and I am excited to share my designs and my creative process…

I often talk about organisation being key to maintaining my busy and chaotic life and this week I have made an extra effort to re-organise my time and adjust my time management. Admittedly, I prefer to live spontaneously however I have learnt that sometime routine will actually work in my favour and allow me to live more freely, without a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I ought to be doing something else and using my time differently. I have decided to add one new structure into my routine each week and so I am looking forward to watching the developments and results evolve over the next few weeks… patience will be a virtue…

This week we celebrated World Book Day and so I took the opportunity to share this reminder… I think that no matter how busy we are and no matter how chaotic life gets that we should always make time to read. I also believe that the act of using a pot of tea requires us to sit down and take time to focus on the moment. There is always so much emphasis on grabbing coffee to go, it’s like as a society we have forget how to sit down and enjoy our hot beverages and I don’t think this is a healthy way of living… Whatever your plans for the week ahead, make sure you take time for you… To feed your mind, fuel your body and soothe your soul.

I don’t think there will ever be a week where my creations don’t feature in the list of things which I am currently loving… Like many of us, I am happiest when I am being creative and there is always a sense of achievement when I take a moment to display and photograph the items before boxing them to be distibuted to their new home. This week I have been assisting with creating a range of Lavender products and it has been a really enjoyable experience. I think it’s also important to share, that I don’t work alone and I think this makes the experience more enjoyable. I’m also grateful and mindful that I have created a job which I love ♡ ♡

Spring is now around the corner and the sun is shining, which means that things can only get better! What have you been enjoying this week? Lets chat in the comments xo
