May Favourites

May Favourites
Welcome back to That’s What Pea Said

I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by!

May is always an exciting month for me as it kicks off festival season (aka: my favourite time of year)…

Over the next couple of months, I can generally be found dancing and frolicking around in a field; listening to music, with a cheeky cider in hand ♡♡♡

Does that mean I’ll stop posting? Of course not…

Dalmatian Jasper Facial Roller: You’ve probably noticed crystal facial rollers, popping up all over the internet (particularly instagram)… It wasn’t a new concept for me as I’ve used crystals for their healing properties for many year, in particular applying them to my face when I’ve been suffering from a headache or sinus pains… However, the rolling technique appealed to me as it’s convenient and I know that by adding a roller into my beauty routine, I’ll form the habit of using it daily, which means it’ll have greater benefits…

I’d been eyeing up crystal rollers for some time before spotting a collection of them in TKMaxx and I was instantly drawn to the Dalmatian Jasper. I’m not a fan of buying crystals online as I believe I have to be able to feel them, in order to connect with them. Dalmatian Jasper contains specks of Tourmaline, which is my favourite crystal, you can read about it’s benefits and why I’m very fond of its healing properties here

I’ll write about the plethora of benefits as a result of using a facial roller in a separate post, however this is why my Dalmatian Jasper crystal roller made it into my May favourites.

Facial rollers are a great addition to your beauty routine as they:
– Boost blood circulation
– Diminish the appearance of fine-lines and wrinkles
– Brighten skin tone
– Eliminate toxins by accelerating the skin renewal process
– Reduce headaches and sinus pain
– Minimise spots around the chin/jawline which are caused by toxins

Dalmatian Jasper is a healing crystal which assists you with breaking down the barriers which you have created as a protection around yourself. It’s vibrations allow you to release any lack of trust you may feel towards others and it may relieve the urge to take revenge on somebody who has done you wrong.

The Dalmatian Jaspers healing properties allow you to move forwards and discover your true purpose in life. The energy may also bring you a child like joy and a sense of playfulness into your life. The speckled spots are tourmaline and absorb negative energy and offer spiritual grounding and psychic protection…

My favourite tip for using the facial roller is to store it somewhere cold, for an added soothing sensation.

The Body Shop: Satsuma Hand Cleanse Gel:  Admittedly, hand sanitisers aren’t the most exciting product to rave about, however if you’re familiar with TBS’s bath and shower range it’s pretty self explanatory why I’m a fan of this product. Hand sanitiser is something which I always carry in my bag and not only does it remove germs, it leaves you feeling fresh and fabulously scented! It’s the perfect addition to any handbag!

Have you tried any of the above products?
Are you tempted to add them to your wishlist?

Which products are you loving right now?

I had no idea that the spots on my chin and jawline were due to toxins! I’ve been blaming hormones for them!

I love the Al!ve range but it’s being discontinued at my local sainsburys which suck! My favourite is the charcoal and ginger scrub for a post workout shower and the energising body gel lotion. I started using the products when I had a lingering shoulder injury and was in a lot of pain from it, I found the gel too sticky on my skin and the spray too cold but the lotion is just right.
I like the magnesium flakes because I like to use unscented magnesium or epsom salts so I can add whatever flavour bubbles I like to the bath. I’m not a huge fan of the herby smells and prefer something fruity (or occasionally floral) so that works well for me. Magnesium has been a game changer for me in terms of workout recovery and easing sore muscles and I still reach for the lotion over ibuprofen gel whenever my shoulder injury flares up.

Hi I’m definitely going to add a facial roller to my list. I’ve been noticing a lot of people using them and to think something cold roller on your face should be fun plus I’m sure it is a stress reliever. I love bath foams but unfortunately I’m waiting for my new tub to arrive so I can enjoy my bubble baths again. Great read …
